On Thursday, September 19, nearly 60 strangers and friends alike joined together at Bircus Brewing to give $6,000 to a local charity in a process that took less than an hour. Member votes resulted in a tie, with Covington’s Dolly Parton Imagination Library (through the Notre Dame Urban Education Council) and Lucky Tales Rescue coming out on top.
Dozens of local nonprofits are one step closer to winning more than $110,000 from the eight local foundations presenting the 2019 NKY Funders’ Grants.
Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky has announced the first grant recipients awarded through its Community Impact Fund. Four nonprofits serving Northern Kentucky will receive their full grant requests, for a total of nearly $50,000.
NKY Funders’ Grants is back with more funding and additional partners for its second year to bring over $110,000 in total funds to nonprofits that serve Northern Kentucky.
