Travis’ Triumph Tour Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Travis’ Triumph Tour Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 with the purpose of honoring Travis Ransom’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to the fire service. Travis had a passion to mentor and recruit young men and women wanting to dedicate their lives to serving and protecting others like he did.

Travis served in the U.S. Air Force from 1994 until he obtained a firefighting job in 1997 at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). While at CVG, he obtained his Paramedic Certification and a degree in Fire Science. Travis retired from CVG in 2017 as a Battalion Chief. He began working at Union Fire Protection District in 2018 and was promoted to Captain in 2023. Captain Ransom was always willing to help others and never asked anyone to do anything he wouldn't do himself. He inspired so many and his professionalism in the firefighting community is something that others strive to emulate.
