Kenton County Public Library Foundation
The Kenton County Public Library Foundation invests in programs, technology, spaces and preservation efforts that enrich lives at every stage of lifelong learning and literacy:
• Igniting Early Literacy – From the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to gifting books to every incoming kindergartener and supporting the Summer Reading Celebration, the Foundation fosters a lifelong love of reading.
• Expanding Access through Innovation – Investments in the STREAM Makerspace put cutting-edge tools like 3D printers, robotics and digital media equipment into the hands of the community, inspiring creativity, curiosity and digital literacy.
• Strengthening Workforce Readiness – Career coaching, job-search support, hands-on training and technology skills workshops empower people of all ages to pursue brighter futures.
• Preserving Community Heritage – As the steward of Kentucky’s largest local history collection, the library preserves and shares our region’s story. Foundation funding helps digitize archives, protect rare materials and make history accessible through books, exhibits and online tools.
• Supporting Infrastructure Growth – The Foundation contributed to projects like the new Latonia Branch, providing modern spaces for meetings, quiet study and learning for children, teens and adults. • Celebrating Literacy Leaders – Through the Mary Ann Mongan Literacy Award, the Foundation honors individuals whose dedication significantly advances literacy in our region.
• Investing in the Future – Gifts to the Foundation’s endowment ensure the library remains a vibrant, adaptable resource for generations to come.
