PRESIDENT AND CEO
Nancy Grayson

As President and CEO, Nancy is responsible for implementing the vision and strategic direction of Horizon Community Funds, working collaboratively with other community leaders to serve the community’s needs.
A recognized leader, Nancy has served on numerous boards of organizations dedicated to improving education, promoting healthy family relationships, and preserving the natural resources and history of Kentucky. She currently serves on the Metropolitan Club Board of Governors, the Endow Kentucky Commission, and the LINK Media LLC Board of Directors.
Nancy has received various awards, including the Cincinnati Enquirer Woman of the Year Award (2022), the NKY Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky Award (2021), the Venue Magazine Woman of Influence Award (2019), the Northern Kentucky Tribune Newsmaker Award (2018), and the Northern Kentucky Champion for Education Award (2011). She is also an alumna of Leadership Northern Kentucky (2009). She graduated summa cum laude in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
She currently resides in Boone County with her husband, Trey; their two daughters, Alex and Kate; and their miniature dachshund, Oliver. Her top weekend activities include working in her garden, attending local music concerts and festivals, and experimenting with new recipes using one of her many kitchen gadgets.

Aaron is responsible for the development of the accounting department and providing accurate and timely financial reporting to best serve the organization and the community. Aaron earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a Master of Science in Finance from University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business.
Aaron currently lives in Mt. Lookout with his wife, Rachel, and their daughter, Olivia. He lived in Covington for several years prior to that and is an active Covington Partners mentor. Outside of work he enjoys being outdoors, playing tennis, and attending concerts.

Dawn Denham joined Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky as Director of Marketing and Engagement in June of 2025. She brings extensive experience in community engagement, nonprofit leadership, and strategic communications.
Most recently, Dawn served as Manager of Community Engagement and Culture at CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services. Prior to that, she led the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s community-based leadership programs as Director of Leadership, empowering local leaders through immersive, regional experiences. She also served as the first Director of United Way’s Success By 6 initiative in Boone County and held roles in marketing and development with several regional nonprofits.
Dawn is passionate about building stronger communities, cultivating leadership, driving lasting impact, and championing what makes Northern Kentucky extraordinary. She holds a degree in Communications from Northern Kentucky University and is a proud alumna of Leadership NKY (Class of 2010). She lives in Fort Mitchell with her husband and two teenage sons.

Ashleigh is responsible for the smooth functioning of our operations and communications efforts, providing critical support to our team. She graduated from Georgetown College with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies, with an Equine Distinction. A passionate sports fan, she proudly supports the Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals. Ashleigh lives in Florence with her goldendoodle, Boone. When she’s not traveling and exploring new destinations, Ashleigh can be found at concerts, sports games, or trying out a local restaurant or event.
